At the start of the Summer I went on a 2 week spontaneous trip around some of the Scottish Islands I hadn’t ventured out to yet.
This included, the Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Coll, Tiree and my favourite one that I always go back to, the Isle of Skye.
This inspired a new series of photographic images that I’ve titled, ‘Landmass’. Throughout exploring these Islands, I found the staggering presence of the mountains, cliffs, land, and jagged peaks quite overwhelming, the sheer scale heightened by the intense atmosphere of these remote places gave me the realization of how incredibly powerful these landmasses are. In size, scale, beauty and sublimity.
Here’s some brand new images from this series. You can also find them on my website; http://www.ellisoconnor.com
